ABC Teachers is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join a dynamic Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Redditch. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support young people who may have experienced exclusion, trauma, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
About the role
You will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. You will build trusted relationships and help pupils overcome barriers to learning through consistent, calm, and trauma-informed support.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting learners aged 11–16 who may present with challenging behaviour or complex emotional needs

Supporting de-escalation using restorative and therapeutic approaches

Promoting emotional regulation, confidence, and self-esteem in a nurturing environment 🌱

Working closely with pastoral teams, counsellors, and external agencies to ensure holistic support
