ABC Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant in the Swadlincote area with prior experience supporting pupils of a primary age with Special Educational Needs to start from the beginning of the spring term, January 2026.
About the role
- Working one to one with a student with Special educational needs, outside of the classroom setting.
- Supporting the child following their EHCP and school guidelines.
- Starting from January 2026 as a full-time member of staff with the potential to become a permanent member of the school.
- Working between school hours of 08:30-15:30, Monday to Friday up until the end of summer term, July 2026.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant - Swadlincote you will:
- Have had prior experience working effectively with a student with additional needs.
- Have a keen passion for building a strong working relationship with pupils and to provide them the best chance of developing.
- Be able to commit to full-time work.
- Ideally have a teaching assistant qualification, however with the right experience this is not compulsory.
- Provide references from your most recent and relevant employment.
- Possess or be willing to obtain an up-to-date DBS check registered with the update service.
