As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, personalised support to pupils with a wide range of special educational needs ❤️. Working closely with teaching staff and professionals, you will help students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex and profound learning needs

• Supporting the delivery of individualised education and care plans

• Encouraging engagement, communication, and independence 🌱

• Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals 🤝

• Promoting pupils’ emotional wellbeing

• The school is a specialist all-through provision in Kidderminster, supporting pupils with a range of needs including complex and profound learning difficulties, autism, speech and language communication needs.

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or educational setting
• Experience supporting individuals with complex or additional needs
• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach 💛
• Relevant qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care, or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable but not essential)
• The ability to provide suitable references and successfully obtain an enhanced DBS check ✅
