ABC Teachers are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cover Supervisor to work within an SEN school in Birmingham, part of the Think Differently Education Trust (who we are proud to be working with as a Managed Service Partner)

About the role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task.
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Support pupils in their learning and maintain a positive classroom environment.
  • Work across a variety of subjects, gaining valuable classroom management experience.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:
  • Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs.
  • Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • At least two years of experience supporting students with special educational needs.
