About the role
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Sociology Supply Teacher to join our team in Saltley, Birmingham. As a Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of schools, gaining invaluable experience and making a positive impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Sociology lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated to succeed.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
About the school
You will be working for a reputable Secondary School in Saltley, who have a welcoming team. The school are looking for someone to work in their inclusive environment until the end of the year, possibly going into the new academic year.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialisation in Sociology or relevant subject area.
- Previous experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach Sociology i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
