About the role
ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chemistry Supply Teacher for a long-term placement at a well-respected secondary school in Bournville, starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Science teacher to deliver engaging and challenging Chemistry lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 students.
Responsibilities:

Full-time, long-term Chemistry teaching role (September 2025 start)

Planning, marking and assessing responsibilities included

Teaching Chemistry to students across KS3 and KS4

Supporting pupils’ progress in a well-resourced and collaborative department

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Science/Chemistry
- Recent experience teaching Chemistry in a UK secondary school
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach Chemistry i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
