About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic Design & Technology department from September 2025. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will have a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire students to develop their practical skills and understanding of nutrition, food preparation, and healthy lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Food Technology
- Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
- Contribute to the development of the DT curriculum
- Create a safe and stimulating learning environment in line with health and safety guidelines
- Participate in school events and wider extra-curricular activities
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
- Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A creative and innovative approach to teaching

Requirements
- Must hold a UK Teaching Qualification
- Experience in working in a busy DT Department
- PGCE in Teaching Food Technology
