ABC Teachers are seeking committed, resilient and adaptable Teachers to join our SEN supply register, supporting a range of specialist SEN schools across Coventry.

About the role

This role is focused primarily on settings supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and challenging behaviours. Opportunities are available on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term supply basis, offering flexibility alongside rewarding work.

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging, structured lessons, promote positive behaviour, and provide consistency for pupils who benefit from clear routines and strong relationships. You will work closely with experienced support staff to help create calm, safe and nurturing learning environments.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs.

About the school

The SEN schools within our Coventry network:

• Support primary and secondary-aged pupils
• Specialise in ASC and SEMH needs, including pupils who display challenging behaviour
• Use therapeutic, relational and trauma-informed approaches
• Provide structured environments with a strong focus on emotional regulation
• Offer personalised curriculums to support both academic and personal development

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Supply Teacher you will:
  • • Demonstrate confident behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
  • • Be calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations
  • • Be committed to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children and young people
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • • Have experience working with pupils with ASC and/or SEMH, or a strong interest in this area
ABC Teachers is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
