About the role

ABC Teachers is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Social Science Supply Teacher to join a respected secondary school in Edgbaston on a long-term, full-time basis from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, and Citizenship at Key Stage 4 and potentially Key Stage 5.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Social Sciences Teacher you will:

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Social Sciences at secondary level (KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A genuine passion for teaching and learning in the humanities and social sciences
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

a suitable qualification to teach Social Science i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
