About the role
ABC Teachers are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to cover maternity leave at our established Secondary school in Alvechurch. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives while enjoying a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to students, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student success.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities as required.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Science Teacher you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Science Education.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of relevant curriculum frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A commitment to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Willingness to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- a suitable qualification to teach Science i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
