We are currently seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to cover maternity leave at a vibrant secondary school in Sheldon. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching History and Geography, inspiring students to explore and understand the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in History and Geography to secondary school students.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic success.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school events.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching History and Geography at the secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring curiosity in students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and create a supportive learning environment.
• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
