About the role
ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Supply Teacher to join us to work in a established Secondary School in Saltley!
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive science lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, incorporating hands-on experiments and demonstrations.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Specialism in science education with a strong subject knowledge across biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Experience teaching science at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A commitment to promoting the highest standards of teaching and learning.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach Science i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
