About the role
ABC Teachers are currently seeking a qualified History Teacher to join our team for an long-term role. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire and educate students in one of the most fascinating subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive History lessons to students of various ages and abilities.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and academic growth.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the History department and school community.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in History or a related field.
- Experience teaching History at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach History i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
