About the role
ABC Teachers are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher to join us to work at a vibrant secondary school in Bromsgrove.
As a Science Teacher, you will have the exciting opportunity to ignite curiosity and foster a love for science among secondary school students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across key stages, creating a stimulating learning environment, and supporting students to achieve their full potential in science subjects. You will be working in a OFSTED 'Good' school with access to excellent facilities and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Use innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best practices.
- Promote a positive classroom ethos that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
About the school
The school are looking for someone with drive and initiative to help promote the schools ethos and values to create resilient students. They have a nurturing and welcoming team who you will be able to gain valuable support and advice from. This is a role expected to last a term, with possibilities to extend.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Experience teaching science at the secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach Science i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
