About the role
As a General Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across different subject areas, maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. This role focuses on classroom delivery and behaviour management, with no planning or marking required in most placements.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Following school safeguarding procedures
- Providing feedback to teaching staff where required

You will be working across a variety of secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent, including academies and maintained schools. Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
