ABC Teachers, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher to join secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent. This role is ideal for qualified teachers looking to teach practical and creative subjects, inspire students, and work within supportive school environments.
About the role
As a D&T Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in resistant materials, textiles, electronics, and product design
- Inspire students to develop creative, technical, and practical skills
- Plan and assess student work in line with school curriculum policies
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and safely
- Promote safe use of D&T equipment and adherence to health & safety standards
This position offers teaching across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to school projects, competitions, and cross-curricular initiatives.
About the school
You will work in a variety of secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent, including academies and maintained schools. These schools provide structured behaviour policies, supportive leadership, and well-equipped D&T facilities. Working across multiple schools allows you to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students in practical and engaging design and technology lessons.
Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Be confident teaching practical D&T skills across KS3 and KS4
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Be organised, creative, and flexible
- Have experience in teaching design & technology (preferred but not essential for recent graduates)
