About the role
ABC Teachers are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Supply Teacher to join our network of fantastic schools in Shirley and the surrounding areas. If you’re an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students across KS3 and KS4, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
As an English Supply Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Manage classroom behaviour and provide a positive learning environment.
- Work with students of varying abilities to help them achieve their full potential.
- Adapt to different school settings, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to permanent staff.

Most schools have great public transport links and provide on-site parking.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt quickly to different school environments.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach English i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
