ABC Teachers are seeking a 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in a KS1 class at a primary school in Tunstall, Stoke-On-Trent starting as soon as possible. This would be on a fulltime basis.

The role itself:
You will be working 1:1 with a specific pupil, assisting in classrooms and providing interventions for a specific pupil while de-escalating stressful situations to help the teacher conduct lessons successfully.

Requirements
- You must have: Effective behaviour management skills Strong adaptability Great communication skills to be able to cater to the specific child and communicate. A strong passion for learning and showing creativity and helping others. Patience, Resilience and Reliability Strong interpersonal skills to cater to the specific needs of the pupil. Be able to provide 2 solid references covering years’ experience. Hold a DBS registered on the update service or must be able to arrange one. Must have previous experience working within education or with SEN or a similar environment. ABC Teachers is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
