About the role
- Provide one-on-one mentoring, group sessions, and workshops to support students facing challenges such as behavioural or emotional difficulties.
- Work closely with teachers and parents to develop strategies for student success.
- Address students' academic, social, and personal needs through targeted interventions.
- Create a safe and supportive environment where students feel empowered to express themselves.
- Act as a positive role model, fostering resilience, self-confidence, and essential life skills in students.

- Based in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Birmingham, dedicated to supporting students with behavioural or social-emotional difficulties.
- Provides tailored educational programs and interventions to help students thrive academically and personally.

- Offers a nurturing and inclusive environment with specialized resources and support systems.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Youth Worker you will:
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a care, residential, or educational setting.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for supporting children and adults with behavioural challenges or SEND.
- Strong understanding and awareness of safeguarding practices.
- Experience or knowledge of therapeutic care or practices is desirable.
- Ability to work independently, showing initiative in student care and learning.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a care, residential, or educational setting.
