As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in maintaining learning and supporting students when teachers are absent. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising classes and ensuring students remain engaged and on task

• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Supporting students’ learning and wellbeing

• Building confidence and classroom management skills through hands-on experience

You don’t need to be a qualified teacher — just someone who:

• Enjoys working with young people

• Is confident, organised, and adaptable

• Has experience in a similar setting (e.g. sports coaching, youth work, childcare, or performing arts) — beneficial but not essential

• Is eager to learn and make a positive impact in local schools

• A strong interest in education and working with young people.
