ABC Teachers are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas. About the role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged. You’ll be confident managing classroom behaviour and adaptable to different school settings.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to students in the absence of the class teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment
- Follow school policies and procedures effectively
- Support students’ learning and progress where required
- Work collaboratively with other members of staff and school leadership teams

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or in a classroom management role
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude towards education
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
