ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Support Worker to work in a Special Educational Needs School in Birmingham to work on a full time basis.

About the role:
- Working with groups of primary aged students in non-mainstream education.
- Deliver support and help where needed as a Support Mentor.
- You will be under the instruction of the class teacher but have to work on your own initiative too.
- Ideal for people seeking flexible work, as the cover for these sessions is required on an ad-hoc basis.
About you:
To be considered for the Support Mentor position, you will:
- Have previous experience working with children or young adults with a range of abilities and maybe some special education needs.
- Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
- Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
- Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
