As a Student Support Worker, you will play a vital role in schools by supporting the social, emotional, mental, and physical health of students, ensuring they have full access to education. Your responsibilities will include adapting resources, lessons, and learning styles to meet the unique needs and learning levels of each pupil you support. You will employ de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour strategies to assist students who display challenging behaviours. This role demands a compassionate, adaptable approach, with a focus on personalized support, behaviour management, and fostering the overall well-being and academic success of students with additional needs.

They provide individualized care and education, utilizing specialized strategies to address the unique needs of each student. Requirements
- Experience working with people who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, or a relevant qualification and placement for working with young people.
- A DBS Check, or readiness to undergo a DBS check.
- Strong communication skills and understanding of different communication methods/techniques.
- Experience of trauma informed practice.
