ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Classroom Support Assistant to work within a school in Birmingham.

About the role

Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff to deliver high-quality classroom support that promotes a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils stay focused, build confidence, and actively participate in learning activities.
Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Contribute to personalised learning plans, monitoring progress and adapting support strategies to ensure each pupil can thrive.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Classroom Support Assistant you will:

Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

At least two years of experience supporting people with special educational needs.
