ABC Teachers are currently seeking passionate and experienced support staff/Teaching Assistants to support children who face barriers to education, including SEMH, ADHD and emotional regulation difficulties, and other additional needs.
About the role
We’re looking for compassionate, child-centred professionals who can offer both consistency and patience, building trusting relationships with each young person. Many of the children have social and emotional challenges and can exhibit challenging behaviours that require a flexible, nurturing approach. These learners are unable to attend mainstream school and in order to thrive academically and socially, they require a curriculum which is tailored to their personal needs.
If you have experience supporting learners with SEMH and are confident in adapting the curriculum to meet children where they are—at a pace and level that suits their needs—we’d love to hear from you.
