As a Lesson Support Assistant, your primary responsibility is to empower each young adult to achieve their full potential within a multicultural and inclusive educational setting. In this role at a college in Harborne, Birmingham, you will work closely with students aged 16-25 with physical and learning disabilities. Requirements
- It is essential that you have experience working with people who have Special Educational Needs, Physical Disabilities or Behavioural Difficulties.
- An enhanced DBS certificate (on the update service) or willingness to obtain one.
- Other qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND is not essential but desirable.
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build a rapport with students and staff alike.
- Be able to successfully work as part of a team and be confident to work independently and manage behavioral challenges.
- experience or a relevant qualification for working with young adults with physical and learning disabilities.
