ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with strong experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) for a full-time role at a well-established special needs school in South Birmingham.

About the role

Provide 1:1 support to students with additional needs within a classroom environment.
Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Assist the class teacher with general classroom tasks, tailoring learning materials, and preparing resources as required.
This ongoing role begins in January 2025.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant you will:

Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to varying situations and individual student needs.
Strong behaviour management skills.
Previous experience working in a SEND environment is essential.
A passion for making a positive impact on young people's lives.
Ability to obtain suitable references and successfully pass a DBS check.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
