As a Graphics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to A-level students, fostering creativity, and inspiring a love for graphic design. You will contribute to the development of engaging curriculum materials, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective and engaging graphics lessons to A-level students.
- Create and update curriculum materials in line with educational standards.
- Assess student work, provide feedback, and support individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the department.
- Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate real-world examples into lessons.
About the school
The role is at a established Sixth Form College in Olton, who are dedicated to creating a nurturing a positive learning environment and are committed to helping students achieve daily. You will be working full-time with a welcoming and friendly team. It is an easily accessible site through public transport and has on-site parking.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching graphics at A-level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a suitable qualification to teach Graphics i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
