About the role
We are currently recruiting a reliable, motivated, and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join secondary schools in Derby on an ad-hoc basis. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, on task, and manage their work effectively. This role offers a flexible working schedule and the opportunity to work across different schools and subject areas, making it ideal for those seeking part-time, occasional work in education.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:
- Experience working with secondary school-aged students (ages 11-16), preferably in an educational or supervisory role, though not essential.
- Strong classroom management skills: Ability to maintain control and a positive learning environment, ensuring students stay on task and engaged.
- Good communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students and staff.
- DBS Check: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Experience working with secondary school-aged students (ages 11-16), preferably in an educational or supervisory role, though not essential.
