About the role
ABC Teachers is seeking a Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor to support our renowned secondary schools in Edgbaston and surrounding areas. This flexible role is ideal for someone with a passion for working with students and the adaptability to cover a range of subjects on short notice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in various subject areas and be an integral part of the school’s day-to-day functioning.
As a Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising classes during teacher absences.
- Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with set work.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
- Supporting students in a range of subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Requirements
- Experience working with secondary school aged students
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Flexibility to cover lessons on short notice.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years.
