ABC Teachers are working in partnership with one of our Sandwell based schools seeking a Year 6 intervention Teacher. This role is part-time to begin after the February half-term until Easter, potentially until the end of the year.
About the role
You will have the opportunity to join teams of experienced staff with students who are eager to learn. This nature of role is perfect for ECTs looking to gain more varied school experience, as well as experienced teachers looking for a new career path. In this role, you will be working closely with the Class Teachers to understand the students’ areas of struggle to conduct some small group interventions with them and track/monitor their progress. You may also be asked to cover the larger class while the Class Teachers take students out themselves. This role will be working from Tuesday – Thursday, 08:30 – 15:30.

The school is a 2-form entry school based in Oldbury. It is rated "Good" by Ofsted, with teachers who know their pupils well, and pupils have a good level of trust with their teachers.
Requirements
- Have a relevant QTS.
- Be able to secure relevant references from the past two years.
- Be an eager teacher with previous experience of teaching at a Primary level, ideally in Year 6.
- Have or be able to acquire a DBS on the update service.
- Be able to establish good relationships with both students and staff, and be able to understand different learning styles of students and adapt to this accordingly.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with a polite and positive manner.
- Hold a QTS.
- Have experience we are able to obtain references for in a Primary School setting.
