ABC Teachers are actively looking to recruit quality SEND Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and full-time ongoing work in and around Wolverhampton.

About the role

ABC Teachers are currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic individuals who have recent experience in a learning support role or have a background in caring for children and young adults with SEND, for a variety of placements including supply cover, short-term, and longer-term assignments.

About the school

You should be confident in your abilities to support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups in a range of different settings who have a variety of Special Educational Needs, these primarily being ASC, Moderate Learning Difficulties, and additional complex needs.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
  • • Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and looked after children.
  • • Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
  • • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
  • • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • three weeks working with children or young people with SEND
