About the school
The School Supports Young Boys between the ages of 5-14 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Situated in East Birmingham the school offers a holistic approach to Education, all students have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education and Health Care Plan with primary needs of SEMH, ASC and ADHD. We are looking for someone to join this proactive team who can bring a resilient, therapeutic and patient approach to Education.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEMH Teaching Assistant you will:
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting or equivalent personal experience supporting individuals with learning needs.
- A valid DBS on the update service, or a willingness to complete a DBS check.
- A commitment to supporting and caring for young people with physical and learning challenges.
- The ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a classroom environment.
- Able to provide a minimum of 2 professional references.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Experience working or supporting children with learning disabilities (personal or professional).
