ABC Teachers are currently seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a role in a specialist school in Stourbridge. This will be an ongoing, full time role, starting as soon as possible

About the role

Mainly supporting 1:1 with students that have complex and profound learning difficulties.
Adapt to the needs of students and provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Assist the class teacher with general tasks, working closely with other members of staff to provide a nurturing environment for the students.

The school caters to primary and secondary students with various complex learning difficulties, including ASD and physical needs.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of PMLD Teaching Assistant you will:

Effective communication skills, able to adapt to children’s individual needs
Establish positive rapport with students and staff.
Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives.
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

experience in SEND setting
