About the role
ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join us and support our established Secondary Schools in Shirley.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Managing classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher
- Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons to students
- Managing student behaviour in line with school policies
- Collaborating with teaching staff to maintain continuity in the learning process

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:
- Minimum of a Degree level qualification
- Previous experience working with secondary school students is desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to adapt to various subjects and teaching styles
- Flexibility to work and adapt to different situations
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- experience of a similar role, or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years.
