ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behavioral Support Specialist to work within a school in Dudley.
About the role
-A Behavior Support Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting individuals who may have challenging behaviors, often in educational or therapeutic settings.
-Working under the guidance of the behavior support team, this role involves implementing behavior intervention plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with educators to promote a supportive atmosphere.
-Playing a critical role in crisis intervention, data collection, and communication to ensure the successful implementation of behavior management strategies.
-Working closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure consistency in implementing behavior interventions.

Requirements
- Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and looked after children.
- Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
- Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
- Two years supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
