About the role
ABC Teachers is currently recruiting for dedicated and enthusiastic Academic Coaches – Subject Specialists to join a well-regarded secondary school in Edgbaston from September 2025 through to June 2026. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for graduates with strong subject knowledge and a genuine interest in education. As an Academic Coach, you will work closely with A-Level students to provide targeted academic support and subject-specific coaching, helping to improve attainment, boost confidence, and prepare students for exams and university-level study. You will collaborate with teaching staff to identify learning gaps and offer one-to-one and small group sessions.

Requirements
- A degree in your subject specialism (e.g., English, Maths, Humanities, etc.)
- Experience working with students in a secondary school, college, or tutoring setting
- A strong understanding of the A-Level curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and supportive approach to learning
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship
- experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years and a Degree in your subject specialism.
