As an individual with a Youth Worker background, you will be working as a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment for students in secondary schools. You will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain engaged with the pre-set work, and managing classroom behaviour effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure that students stay on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
• Provide support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with school staff to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience for all students.

• Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a youth work or educational setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.

• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
