We are seeking an experienced Secondary School Cover Supervisor to work in schools in the Derby area. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that pre-prepared work is completed and maintaining a positive learning environment.
About the role
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in their learning.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources, following the school's policies and procedures.
- Manage student behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and any issues arising during the lesson.
- Support the overall ethos and objectives of the school

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Secondary School Cover Supervisor you will:
- A natural leader and someone with the confidence to lead a lesson in the absence of the class teacher
- A passion for education and providing the highest possible level of support to young people.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a DBS check registered to the update service.
- Referenceable experience working with children.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
