About the role

ABC Teachers are recruiting Cover Supervisor's ready to work in our client Secondary Schools for September 2024! As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education during teacher absences. Your main responsibilities will include supervising classes, delivering pre-prepared lessons, and ensuring a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and support students with their learning activities.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and any issues encountered.
  • Support the school's ethos and values, promoting a positive attitude towards learning.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Adaptability and a positive attitude.
  • A genuine passion for education and working with young people.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years.
