About the role
ABC Teachers are recruiting Cover Supervisor's ready to work in our client Secondary Schools for September 2024! As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education during teacher absences. Your main responsibilities will include supervising classes, delivering pre-prepared lessons, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and support students with their learning activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and any issues encountered.
- Support the school's ethos and values, promoting a positive attitude towards learning.

Requirements
- Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Adaptability and a positive attitude.
- A genuine passion for education and working with young people.
- A degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years.
