About the role

ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant to work within our established Secondary Schools in Alvechurch and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment with the potential for a long-term position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of learning activities.
  • Work with individuals or small groups of students to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote a respectful atmosphere.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to enhance the overall learning experience.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience working with children that we can reference.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning environments and age groups.
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing attitude towards students.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and educational best practices.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years.`
