About the role
ABC Teachers are recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hall Green, Birmingham. This long-term, full-time position will begin in September 2025 and run throughout the academic year. In this role, you will support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, assisting students in and out of lessons, helping to manage behaviour, and working closely with teachers to ensure pupils reach their full potential. Requirements
- Experience working with secondary-aged students (either in a school, tutoring, or youth work setting)
- A patient, resilient, and caring attitude
- A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
- experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years.
