About the role

As an Experienced Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with teachers to provide tailored assistance to students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, both in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to inform planning and intervention strategies.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of KS3/4 Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to promoting the welfare and academic achievement of all students.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Relevant teaching assistant qualification or experience is preferred.
