Pay - £20 an hour

ABC Teachers, part of TES, are currently recruiting motivated online tutors to deliver constructive and interactive online sessions for students who have Special Education Needs (SEN). The role will begin in January 2021 on an ongoing basis, the chosen candidate will be comfortable liaising with school contacts and report any issues or concerns when necessary.

Our online tuition platform was designated for education and provides a full suite of tools enabling our tutors to provide effective and safeguarded 1:1 and small group sessions. 


The role

The tuition is to help students catch up with English and Maths and is for 2 – 3 hours every week. Students will be secondary aged and you will be required to work on a 1:1 basis. Lessons may take place during the school day, or after school depending on your availability and the clients role. Your will be required to be patient, calm and empathetic as you will be working with students who have Special Education Needs (SEN). Whom of which have medical conditions, such as brain injury and shall hold the ability to engage young people, and motivate them to achieve and overcome any barriers of learning.



Requirements

• Have a background in teaching (QTS/QTLS is essential)

• Have access to a laptop with webcam, and have a reliable broadband internet connection

• When safe to do so, be comfortable attending physical 1to1 sessions when required

• Be comfortable planning and leading sessions online and in-person if required – previous experience is required.

• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to deliver engaging lessons

• Be available for at least 10 hours per week during school hours

**All original versions of ID and documentation must be provided prior to placement to our office in Lichfield, Staffordshire when safe to do so. Prior to this, video interviews will take place for those who are shortlisted.
