ABC Teachers are working closely with a Special Educational Needs school just outside of Cannock to recruit an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to work within an SEMH environment. 

The school promotes a supportive and positive ethos, where the staff and SLT are committed to improving the lives of the students. The students here are between the ages of 7-13, who have social emotional and mental health difficulties. 

This is a very rewarding role, where you will be working 1:1 with students and in small groups to encourage children and help them reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly build a strong rapport with students, and act as a positive role model. 


Requirements

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. All staff must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure which must also be registered to the Update Service (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you), need to provide professional or academic references and attend a face to face interview. A prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent, referenceable school based experience within an SEN setting (within the last 5 years).
