ABC Teachers are seeking an experienced Youth Worker to work in a primary and secondary school that caters to students with Autism, Learning difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
About the role
- The Youth Worker will be supporting young people with Special educational need’s on a one-to-one basis.
- Building a strong rapport with the student to encourage them to attend and thrive in school
- Following the guidance of the teacher but knowing the student well enough to deal with any conflicts
- Working 8:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday
- Working term time only for the full academic year

- Supportive to staff, running weekly CPD training and team meetings.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Youth Mentor you will:
- • A relevant Level 3 Qualification such as Children and Young People's Workforce, Sporting qualifications and more is desired but not required.
- • Able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check*
- • Experience working with children with challenging behaviours and backgrounds
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- two years experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
