ABC Teachers are recruiting for an SEND Teaching Assistant for a full time role in an excellent school we work closely with in Lichfield. The role is to begin in September 2022 and will be ongoing.
About the role
- Providing effective support and assistance to students, encouraging their engagement with learning and interaction with others.
- Preparing the classroom for lessons alongside the class teacher, as well as general admin duties and record keeping.
- Working 1:1 and in small groups with students, providing tailored learning and managing behaviour.
- This is a long term role which will be full time Monday-Friday. The school are also open to candidates looking for part time work for other roles.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have recent experience working with students with a range of special educational needs
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build a rapport with students and staff alike
- Have suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND, this is not essential but desirable
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- experience in a relevant SEND role
