ABC Teachers are looking for a passionate Chemistry Teacher to join their teaching team in the Stourbridge area
About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic Science department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Chemistry to students at Key Stages 3 and 4 You will play a crucial role in inspiring students, fostering a love for the subject, and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3, and 4
- Develop and implement comprehensive schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments in line with the curriculum.
- Monitor and support the overall academic progress and development of students.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to students to aid their understanding and progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the teaching and learning experience.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Science curriculum.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with the latest educational trends and subject knowledge.
- Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extra-curricular activities and events.
Requirements:
- A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stages 3, 4, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
